ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Neighbors in Elizabeth Township got a chance on Tuesday to learn more about data centers and what a possible development could look like in their community.
Developers want to build a data center at the former U.S. Steel brownfield site near Henderson Road.
Before any plans are officially filed, developers and the township held a town hall where residents had their questions answered.
Developers made clear the conversation is still in its early stages.
“They said they wanted this meeting first, so I’ve essentially sat around for the last 60 days waiting for this meeting,” one resident said. “I don’t mean that in a negative way I’m just saying that’s how it was left was, we need to get the community up to speed.”
Developers say the next step is to speak with the township about plans moving forward.
