After squeezing into a much smaller space in moving its regional headquarters to Cranberry two years ago, St. Louis-based Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has inked a significant expansion in the north suburbs.
The company has reached a long-term lease to establish a new R&D facility in the former headquarters of rue21 at 800 Commonwealth Dr. in Warrendale within the Thorn Hill Industrial Park, a short drive from its Cranberry Woods regional headquarters.
Adam Viccaro, a senior vice president for CBRE who has been representing the property along with colleague Alex Ruck on behalf of local owner Sampson Morris, confirmed Emerson is expanding into a property that was vacated after rue21 left the flex-oriented building after an abrupt Chapter 11 and liquidation process in 2024.
