PITTSBURGH — A woman who was working at a business in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood on Tuesday evening was assaulted by a customer whom she confronted.
Police were called to the 300 block of North Craig Street at around 9:30 p.m. for a reported aggravated assault.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been slashed in the face with an unknown weapon following an encounter inside the store where she works.
Police said a male was reportedly unplugging items in the store to charge his phone when the woman confronted him and led him outside, where she was assaulted.
The woman also had a significant bruise on her head. She was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled from the scene and has not been arrested.
Pittsburgh Police continue to investigate.
