A Trust Fund has been established for the purpose of raising money to provide financial assistance for the Amish Family from the Plumville/Smicksburg area in rural Indiana County Pennsylvania. The 29 year old father, Ervin Hostettler, and his sons - 4 year old Ervin, Jr. & 5 year old Andy, were badly burned in a fire at their home on January 24, 2012. Little Ervin, Jr. died the following morning as a result of burns over 95% of his body. His brother is showing strong improvement. Father, Ervin, is in a medically induced coma with third degree burns over 65% of his body.
The immediate family has kept a near constant vigil at the bedsides of their loved ones at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. The hospital has an apartment that is made available free of charge for one week to families of burn patients. However, this "free" period has long past and the cost to these Amish families is staggering in every aspect. To that end, a trust fund - to be known as "The Ervin & Andy Charitable Trust" - has been established to financially assist the family with the numerous expenses that they will face as a result of this horrific accident. The First Commonwealth Bank of Plumville will be the financial institution used for this Trust.
If you can find it in your heart to donate, you may do so by making your check payable to "The Ervin & Andy Charitable Trust" % Jess Fleming, First Commonwealth Bank, 224 Main Street, PO Box 687, Plumville, PA 16246.
