CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — A former Connellsville police sergeant was held for trial Friday on charges of corruption of minors and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, but a district judge dismissed some charges, including official oppression, unlawful contact and indecent assault.
Ryan Reese, 42, is accused of trading sex with a 16-year-old girl in exchange for his promise not to arrest her and her boyfriend.
State police said Reese had sex with the teen while on duty several times, including in his patrol car and in the police station garage.

According to Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE, the alleged victim testified during a preliminary hearing Friday that she believed Reese would drop drugs and weapons charges against her and her boyfriend if she agreed to be a confidential informant for Reese and have sex with him.
State police said he still ended up filing charges against her.
According to the grand jury report, Reese admitted to having sex with the girl but said he didn’t know her age.
Channel 11 News uncovered that this isn’t the first time Reese had been in trouble.
According to investigators, Reese was suspended from the task force in 2012 for having sex with a confidential informant in a prostitution sting.
