McKEESPORT, Pa. — Family and friends of James “Andre” Sims gathered in McKeesport Saturday evening on the anniversary of his death three years ago.
They gathered to remember Sims, and also to call for justice.

Sims was shot in the head on July 6, 2012 at the intersection of Versailles Avenue and Pirl Street in McKeesport.
When officers were flagged down by a bystander, they found Sims in his car.
Sims was rushed to the hospital and died days later.
Family remembered him with a balloon release and march to his gravesite.
