The shooting occurred Dec. 21 inside an apartment on South Mathilda Street, where Tuesday night’s vigil was held.
Investigators said they believe Williams was trying to rob DeVaughn. Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala said he believes DeVaughn fired the shots in self-defense.
DeVaughn is facing several charges, including illegal possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and drug possession, but not homicide.
