Allegheny County police have an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Jesse Jones, of Moon Township, on criminal homicide and other charges. Jones is still on the run.

On Monday’s Johnson’s family told Channel 11’s Melanie Gillespie that they’re praying the suspect is caught.

“He was just a fun-loving, happy person,” said Johnson’s nephew, Gerard Rippey. “He would bright up any room with his jokes.”

Family members say Johnson had five children. His oldest is 11-year-old Kyliece.

"I really didn't believe it. I didn't believe it was true. I was just so surprised and overwhelmed that it happened,” she said.

Johnson is remembered in a positive light by those who knew him best.

"He was a family person. His kids were the most important thing to him. It's shocking that this is even happening period,” said Johnson’s sister, Kim Haskins.

Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call police.
