If you are feeling burned out at work, you’re not alone.

Two-thirds of workers say they feel the same, according to a 2025 Moodle Survey.

Consumer Advisor Clark Howard tells people who feel stressed to look to their passions for inspiration.

Desiree White, a former nurse, transformed her career burnout into a successful auto repair business.

After facing career fatigue and a long commute, White began flipping cars to make extra cash, eventually leading her to open Crowns Corner Mechanics.

“It’s unexplainable. I can’t explain the feeling,” White said about her journey from nursing to owning a thriving business.

White’s journey began when she decided to fix a car that needed extensive repairs, rather than taking a financial loss. She turned to YouTube for guidance, successfully repairing the vehicle and removing the engine light.

White’s newfound skills quickly gained attention in her community, leading her to repair cars for others and ultimately open her own shop, Crowns Corner Mechanics.

Documenting her process on social media, White has amassed over 130,000 followers on TikTok, where her videos have garnered millions of views.
