PITTSBURGH — Firefighters were called to Park View Apartments at 7 Allegheny Center on Pittsburgh's North Side Friday morning, for reports of a fire on the 10th floor.
Crews were able to quickly put out the flames shortly after 9 a.m. There was heavy smoke throughout the building.

The fire began in a stairwell and no apartments were damaged.
Residents were evacuated for a short time, but were allowed back inside once firefighters cleared the scene.
There were no reports of injuries.
