The fire was originally reported as a kitchen fire, but had become a full structure fire when crews arrived on the scene.

Firefighters say they were told about a person who was trapped in the back of the house. They were able to pull the victim to safety and they were taken to a hospital.

Crews said the fire was difficult to put out because hoarding conditions prevented firefighters from entering the house.

The fire was placed under control and crews were able to clear the scene after six hours.

Firefighters from at least seven companies helped put the fire out.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
