Half-brothers ordered to split $1M lottery prize

CARLISLE, Pa. — A central Pennsylvania jury is ordering two brothers feuding over $1 million in lottery winnings to split it.

The jury settled the fight in favor of Ira Sharp, who sued his half-brother after the men purchased a scratch-off ticket while drinking in a Mechanicsburg bar last year. The decision came at the end of a two-day trial in Cumberland County court.

A tearful Sharp said "justice has been served" after the hearing. Meehan declined comment.
