Arnold home suffers heavy damage in fire

ARNOLD, Pa. — A home in Arnold suffered heavy damage after it caught fire.

Police, firefighters and medics were called to the 1400 block of Taylor Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Sunday.

Photos taken by our photographer show the damage inside the house. The wall on the left side of the house began to fold in. The porch outside the home’s front entrance also appeared to have been damaged.

Taylor Avenue was closed while crews responded to the scene, but it is now open.

No injuries were reported.

The home was not occupied but was undergoing renovations, the Arnold Fire Department public information officer told Channel 11 news partner the Tribune-Review.

The officer said the house may be a total loss. A state fire marshal is investigating.
