WASHINGTON, Pa. — Police in Washington Township arrested a home burglary suspect thanks to the homeowner’s 24-hour surveillance system.
Authorities said the burglary was reported at a home on Pine Run Church Road. The homeowner told police he has his home under 24-hour surveillance, and a camera caught the burglar.
According to police, through the video, the suspect was identified as Mark Eric Rowley.
An arrest warrant was issued for Rowley, and he was then taken into custody without incident. He was unable to post bond, and was taken to the Westmoreland County Prison.
Authorities said Rowley was previously arrested on Oct. 18 for institutional vandalism and criminal mischief. He was out on bond for those charges.
