MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — A horse was rescued Thursday morning after getting stuck in a ravine in Murrysville.
Animal rescue crews pulled the horse out of a puddle of mud near the intersection of Bollinger and Evens roads.
“I'm sure she was down there for quite a while. We think maybe overnight,” said Tony Bramson, who helped with the rescue.
Crews attached straps to a backhoe to pull up the horse, which was down on her side and unable to stand.
The horse was placed in a trailer and taken to a nearby veterinarian clinic to be checked for injuries.
"We are so lucky they found her," said Bramson.
