Hot and humid again today with scattered severe thunderstorms.
Temperatures will make it into the lower 90s today. The heat index will feel more like 100 degrees during the heat of the afternoon. A heat advisory continues until 8 p.m. for many areas from Allegheny County and southwest.

Morning thunderstorms will give way to clearing skies by lunch with hot, humid conditions this afternoon. New, strong thunderstorms will likely form this evening across the area, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain.
Temperatures will cool off in time for Labor Day weekend with highs near 80 degrees starting Saturday.
