‘I'm an idiot': Man arrested at Oakland pizza shop where police find coke, marijuana, oxycontin

PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 News was there as a man accused of running a drug operation out of an Oakland pizza shop was taken into custody Tuesday.

Investigators said they arrested Fadi Aboud at Larry and Carol’s Pizza Shop on Semple Street after a six month investigation.

As he was arrested, Aboud told Channel 11’s cameras, “I’m an idiot.”

Police said they confiscated cocaine, marijuana and oxycontin from the shop that’s located within walking distance of the University of Pittsburgh’s campus.

Allegheny County’s district attorney said he is working to declare the pizza shop a nuisance property and shut the business down.
