The Intersection Food Pantry, located on 7th Street in McKeesport has closed its doors, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank announced on Sunday.
The pantry was founded in 1973.
In its decades of service, the Intersection Food Pantry provided food assistance, helped people in emergency situations find funding, provided transportation to people who needed it and offered weekly medical checkups.
“It’s bittersweet to announce that The Intersection has closed its doors, but their legacy of service will continue to inspire the community for years to come,” the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank said.
Anyone in the area who needs help is asked to contact the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank at 412-460-3663, extension 655.
