PITTSBURGH — The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Fugitive Squad tracked down and arrested a woman accused of running an ATM scam and collecting money for a fake charity.

Authorities said Amanda Krull, 23, was wanted on several charges including theft by deception and writing bad checks.

According to police, Krull was arrested at a hotel in Oakland Wednesday.

Once the check was deposited, she made the victim give her money from the check, but the check was later found to be fraudulent, police said.

Investigators said Krull had tricked several people in the South Hills area into depositing checks for her at an ATM.

Authorities said Krull has multiple prior arrests for related crimes including going door-to-door collecting for a fake charity.
