The Penguins were 2-2-0 in preseason after firmly handling the Buffalo Sabres in a dress rehearsal Saturday. Penguins Game Notes
It is the ninth time the Penguins will open the season against Philadelphia. The Penguins are 3-4-1 all-time in season-opening games against Philadelphia.
The Penguins went 2-0-2 in the regular season against the Flyers in 2025-26, but lost in Round One of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, 4-2.
Lapierre, Robertson, and defensemen Declan Carlile, Kaedan Korczak, and Trevor van Riemsdyk will make their Penguins debuts Wednesday.
