NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Jeannette man is accused of stealing more than $118,000 from a relative’s financial accounts over several years, according to North Huntingdon Township Police.
Ronald Palicka was charged after an investigation revealed years of unauthorized funds transfers from the victim’s bank account.
The investigation began in early September 2026 when the victim’s grandson contacted North Huntingdon Township Police to report that a relative was withdrawing money from the account. Officers were provided with bank statements and documentation detailing unauthorized transactions dating back to December 2023.
According to police, Palicka was assigned power of attorney for the victim in 2011. Investigators said he transferred money from the victim’s bank account directly into his personal accounts to pay for personal bills and recurring subscriptions.
The detailed transactions included subscriptions for Chewy, cable TV, Apple, Omaha Steaks and Advanced Auto. Investigators were also provided with a $12,000 check drawn directly from the victim’s account to Palicka in 2021. Police believe the thefts began as early as July 2020.
Palicka is facing charges of theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property.
