After being listed full-go during the first two practices of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ short week, Joey Porter Jr. was labeled as a limited participant for Wednesday and tabbed as out for Thursday night’s road matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
Porter’s back injury also reared its head once again on the injury report, after he’d been listed as “non-injury related/conditioning” on Monday and Tuesday.
When asked on Tuesday if Porter would play in the matchup, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said, “We hope so. Today’s another day. We have a full slot here. Obviously we’re on a Thursday schedule, so this will be more of a jog-through, so we’ll have a little more pace and, pretty much, a similar amount of reps. So, yeah, we’ll see how he does today.”
