Teen charged after shooting in Hazelwood

PITTSBURGH — A 16-year-old is facing charges after police said a juvenile male was shot in Hazelwood on Friday evening.

Pittsburgh police said officers were called to the 5000 block of Chaplain Way just before 5 p.m.

Once on scene, first responders found the victim with one gunshot to each leg.

He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy, Adedjai Edwards, was arrested in connection to the shooting.

Edwards is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a minor and carrying a firearm without a license.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
