Kennywood holding March Madness-styled bracket for different iconic rides, allowing fans to vote

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Kennywood fans now have an opportunity to help their favorite ride be recognized as the best in the park through an ongoing March Madness-styled competition.

A bracket was shared on Twitter on Tuesday, setting up a competition between Kennywood’s “classic rides” vs some of their “thrill rides.”

Some of the classic rides include wooden roller coasters like the Racer, Thunderbolt and Jack Rabbit and lighter long-standing rides like the Whip and the Turtles. The opposite ends of the bracket feature the park’s steel rollercoasters like the Phantom’s Revenge and the Steel Curtain and some other flashy rides like the Black Widow and the Aero 360.

The competition is split into three different rounds. The first round begins on March 16 and the final round ends on April 1.
