Woman injured after being struck by a vehicle in Squirrel Hill

PITTSBURGH — A woman was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Allegheny County dispatchers say emergency crews were called to the intersection of Wilkins Ave. and Beechwood Blvd. in Squirrel Hill at around 3:05 p.m.

Pittsburgh police said they found the woman suffering from multiple injuries. She was last listed in critical condition.

Channel 11 observed a red car stopped in the middle of the road near the intersection.

Both roads were closed as emergency crews responded to the accident.

Dispatchers said the scene was cleared by 5:40 p.m. and the roads were reopened.
