PITTSBURGH — A SWAT situation in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood ended Friday afternoon with police taking one person into custody, but still searching for two suspects.
Investigators said a 21-year-old victim was robbed at gunpoint and stripped down to his underwear just before 10 a.m. Friday in the area of Geyer Avenue by two men and a woman.
Authorities were called to Shadeland Avenue just after 11 a.m. when a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car was spotted.
Channel 11's Renee Kaminski reported that a 28-year-old mother of three was taken into custody. Kaminski identified her as Michelle Barker.
The victim told authorities that Barker and her alleged accomplices took more than $200 before leaving him nearly naked.
Barker's mother, Marjorie Barker, repeatedly told Kaminski that her daughter didn't do it.
"I don't think she would do that because she has children. The children come first," Marjorie said. "I don't think she would put herself in this situation."
According to police, detectives were also looking inside the home for the two men accused in the robbery.
Police said they didn't locate the male suspects and ended the SWAT situation about 12:30 p.m. Their names have not been released.
