3 people hurt after crash involving police car in Allegheny County

SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Three people were hurt after a crash involving a police car in Allegheny County.

Allegheny County dispatchers say police, fire and medics were called to the intersection of Babcock Boulevard and Geyer Road at around 10:05 p.m. in Shaler Township.

According to Shaler police, three people were injured in the crash, including the officer and two people in the other vehicle.

The police car is from Millvale.

All three were taken to an area hospital. Officials said their injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
