PITTSBURGH — A letter carrier was robbed in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, officials say.
A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson says police were called to the 500 block of Climax Street around 10 a.m.
A postal employee told officers that a woman driver stopped in front of her. The woman then allegedly threatened the employee and demanded her postal satchel and key.
The postal employee feared for her safety and complied, the spokesperson says, and the suspect fled the scene.
The United States Postal Inspection Service is handling the investigation.
A USPIS spokesperson says no weapon was brandished during the robbery, the spokesperson says.
