The road project was expected to start in August, but people who drive through here say it just started on Tuesday Sept. 6, causing traffic headaches.

Some drivers said online it took them two hours to take their kids to school, when it normally takes 40 minutes.

Another driver said it took them 15 minutes just to get out of their neighborhood. A father said this is inconvenient and it takes him longer to drive his kid to daycare.

”It usually takes me five minutes when instead it was 20 minutes. I had to take a detour,” said driver John Paul.

However, another driver who said the extra traffic doesn’t bother him since the road work is needed.
