ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An Elizabeth Township nun celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday.
Sister Mary Geraldine Vargo serves at the Sisters of Divine Redeemer just outside Buena Vista.
The church says that, along with 100 years of life, sister Geraldine is also celebrating 80 years of service with the church.
Over the years, she’s also taught hundreds of children to love music and play the piano.
