Person taken to hospital after truck crash that shut down Golden Mile Highway in Plum

PLUM, Pa. — A truck crash shut down Golden Mile Highway in Plum for hours on Thursday.

An Allegheny County 911 supervisor says the crash was first reported at 9:28 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital from the scene.

Golden Mile Highway (Route 286) was closed in both directions at the New Texas Road intersection until about 2:15 p.m.

The Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department says the crash involved a tri-axle truck.

Our crew saw crews cleaning up soot from the roadway.
