Man, 29, arrested on outstanding warrant; Cops find heroin, cash in home

CHARLEROI, Pa. — Authorities in Washington County seized 30 bricks of heroin and more than $5,000 in cash during a raid Thursday in Charleroi.

Washington County District Attorney Eugene A. Vittone said the drug task force became aware of an outstanding warrant from Westmoreland County for 29-year-old Hawn Patterson.

During the course of the investigation Detectives located Patterson at a home on Luella Avenue, Vittone said.

Patterson was taken into custody and turned over to the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Department on the Westmoreland County arrest warrant.

Patterson consented to a search of the residence, Vitton said. That search resulted in the seizure of 30 bricks (1,500 Stamp Bags) of heroin and $5,586 in cash.

Washington County District Attorney Drug Task Force Detectives will file charges at a later date for this search at the residence, Vittone said.
