BUTLER, Pa. — A man is facing charges after police said he went after his girlfriend with a machete on a residential Butler street.

Police arrested Jesse Eaton and charged him with terroristic threats after the alleged incident.

According to investigators, the machete was nearly 2 feet long.

According to the criminal complaint, Eaton was upset because his girlfriend had not responded to his calls or text messages.

"The last time I checked this wasn't Somalia or some Third World country.  This is not how we act here. You don't run down the street with a machete," said business owner Danya Noose.

"I'm in shock.  This is a nice street.  There's a school here and kids everywhere," said Butler resident Kelli Hilderbrand.
