Man accused of crashing into police vehicle, electrical storage box while fleeing in Greene County

WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Police say a wanted man caused damage while fleeing in his vehicle Thursday in Greene County.

Robert Fowler was wanted on robbery and threat charges, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies and Waynesburg police reportedly tried to stop Fowler’s vehicle, but he sped away and hit one of the patrol vehicles.

As police chased him, Fowler crashed into an electrical box and eventually bailed out, officials say.

Police reportedly used a K-9 and were able to arrest Fowler after a struggle.

Fowler was taken to the hospital, as was the deputy whose vehicle was rammed. The deputy was released with only minor injuries.
