Man convicted of attempted homicide after shooting woman getting off PAT bus

PITTSBURGH — A man was convicted of attempted homicide after a jury found him guilty of shooting a woman in the back as she got off a Port Authority bus in Homewood in July 2017.

JaWan Johnson, 21 at the time of the shooting, robbed the woman of about $400 after shooting her as she walked near Susquehanna Street in the late morning. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition at the time.

There was also a nearby summer camp for children at the time of the shooting.
