UPPER BURRELL, Pa. — A man has been convicted of first-degree murder and attempted homicide following a shooting that happened at a local bar in 2021.
Authorities say Daniel Moles, 66, shot Randy Jenereaux, 31, at Woodpeckers Grub and Pub in Upper Burrell in November 2021.
He was also accused of shooting at Jenereaux’s twin brother, who was not hit.

The jury found Moles guilty after three hours of deliberation following a three-day trial.
Prosecutors Michael Pacek and Jeremy Mains argued Moles entered the business with the specific intention of killing Jenereaux and trying to kill his brother.
“The actions of Mr. Moles were reprehensible, and I am pleased justice was served to the Jenereaux family,” District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli said.
Jenereaux died while his brother was driving him to a nearby hospital, despite life-saving efforts.
“This was a senseless and callous crime that tore a family apart and took the life of a young man who had his whole life ahead of him,” Ziccarelli said.
