Man convicted of killing man & leaving his body in abandoned Beaver Falls building

A man was convicted of killing another man nearly two years ago and leaving his body in an abandoned building.

Beaver County District Attorney Nate Bible said a jury found Daniel Felo II guilty of all the charges he faced: criminal homicide, robbery - infliction of serious bodily injury and prohibited possession of a firearm.

Felo killed Eric Mason in December 2024, then wrapped Mason’s body in a tarp and left it in an abandoned building in Beaver Falls.

Felo went on the run for about a month after Mason’s body was found, but was eventually arrested in Fayette County.

Court paperwork revealed a witness overheard Felo on the phone, saying he shot Mason for “ratting” on a friend, which got him 15 years in prison.

It wasn’t immediately clear when Felo would be sentenced.
