SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A worker making repairs to a roof of a Scott Township building died Tuesday afternoon after he fell more than 40 feet.

Authorities said the man was working on the roof at Future All on Gregg Street when he fell just before 3 p.m.

The owner of Future All, which makes equipment for the steel industry, said the victim was not an employee of the company. He was a contractor from Mercer County who has been working to replace the roof for the past three or four days.

Investigators said the victim jumped from one roof to another and fell through. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

County homicide detectives are investigating the incident.

The medical examiner identified the victim as 38-year-old Melvin Kinsinger, of Greenville.
