Man facing charges in connection with three Pittsburgh bank robberies

PITTSBURGH — A man is facing charges for three Pittsburgh bank robberies after being taken into custody on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh Police say that 68-year-old Calvin Leavy is facing charges for three different robberies, First National Bank on 4th Ave on Feb. 8, as well as First National Bank on Forbes Ave and PNC Bank on 5th Ave on Jan. 31.

Leavy was taken into custody by Pittsburgh detectives and FBI agents. He faces multiple charges, including three counts of robbery and two counts of theft.

He is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
