PITTSBURGH — A man was found shot in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood on Monday morning.
A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson says officers were dispatched for a ShotSpotter indicating eight rounds fired in the 400 block of Brownsville Road just before 10 a.m.
Responding officers found shell casings, but no one hurt.
Soon, officers learned of a man limping on Brownsville Road who was picked up by a woman and driven to a home in the 1600 block of Westmont Street.
The spokesperson says the man was shot in the foot. Medics took him to a hospital and he’s stable.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at both locations and the Violent Crimes Division detectives are investigating.
On Sunday, a person was found shot in the neck on the same block of Brownsville Road as this incident. It wasn’t immediately clear if the two shootings were connected.
