Man found shot inside Wilmerding home

WILMERDING — A man is in critical condition after he was found shot in Wilmerding overnight.

The Allegheny County Police Department says 911 officials were notified of the shooting on the 600 block of Middle Avenue around 12:19 a.m.

Once first responders arrived, they found a man inside a residence shot in the abdomen. He was taken to an area hospital where he was last said to be in critical condition.

ACPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
