Man hit by PRT bus in Oakland, taken to a hospital

PITTSBURGH — A man was hit by a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus in Oakland Friday afternoon.

Allegheny County dispatchers say police, firefighters and medics were called to the intersection of Fifth and Tennyson Avenues at around 3:20 p.m.

A representative from PRT said the man was hit in a bus lane.

He was taken to the hospital after saying he was suffering from back pain. He was also cut above his eye.
