Man rescued after crashing into Lawrence County creek

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A pickup truck driver was rescued Saturday morning after crashing into a Lawrence County creek.

Emergency dispatch workers said the truck went off Portersville Road and down a 15-foot embankment before it landed on its side in the creek.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle for about 30 minutes before being rescued.

Police are investigating the crash.

He was taken to Ellwood City Hospital. The man’s condition is unknown.
