Moles was found guilty of first-degree murder and attempted homicide in August after a three-day trial.

He also received 20 to 40 years for attempted homicide of Randy Jenereaux’s brother, Andy.

Authorities say Moles entered Woodpeckers Grub and Pub in Upper Burrell in November 2021 with the intention of killing Jenereaux and trying to kill his brother.

Police say Moles shot at the twin Jenereaux brothers as the two were waiting for their father, who worked at the bar as a cook.

Prosecutors said one of the bullets pierced Randy Jenereaux’s glass before striking him in the hand and wrist and lodging in his chest.

Randy died in the car while his brother drove him to a nearby hospital and tried to save his life.

“While Mr. Moles has maintained that he is sorry that the shooting happened, he has never taken accountability for it occurring. I feel heartbroken that Andy lost his twin brother, and a mother and a father lost their son to a senseless, unprovoked act of violence,” Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli said. “Five years later, it’s a painful reminder that Randy is not here celebrating his 36th birthday, but I hope it is closure for his family that Mr. Moles will be incarcerated for the rest of his life.”

Investigators said Jenereaux and Moles did not know each other and did not have any interaction at the bar.
