WILKINS TWP, Pa. — A Wilkins Township man was found shot and killed inside his home Monday afternoon, according to Allegheny County police.
Authorities said five children, along with other family members, were in the home on Highland Avenue at the time of the shooting.

According to Allegheny County Police Assistant Superintendent James Morton, two men, one white, the other black, walked into the home around 3 p.m. One of the men reportedly went to the basement with the victim, who the medical examiner later identified as Jerit Love, 32.
Morton said the pair allegedly got into an argument and shots were fired. Love reportedly ran upstairs, yelled for someone to call 911 and collapsed by the front door.
Police said in addition to the five children, several pit bulls were found tied up to trees outside, and two others were inside the home. One of the two inside was shot but survived, authorities said.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were released.
