WASHINGTON, Pa. — Authorities continue to investigate after a man was shot several times near two churches in Washington County Wednesday night.

Police told Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic that 33-year-old Daniel Jordan was shot in the stomach around 7 p.m. in the area of North Franklin and West Walnut streets in Washington.

Jordan was rushed to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he remains on a ventilator.

So far, no arrests have been made and authorities said they don’t have any solid suspects.

Jordan’s family said he is originally from Pittsburgh but has been living in Washington for about a dozen years.

Detectives said they believe the shooter fled the scene on foot and there was only one shooter.

Investigators said there were a lot of people in the area at the time because two churches were having Ash Wednesday services. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
