PITTSBURGH — A man was stabbed in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood following an argument on a bus.
Officers were called to the 5000 block of Penn Avenue at around 1 p.m.
Police said two men were in an argument on a bus, and when they exited, it became physical. The suspect then stabbed the victim once in the abdomen.

Bystanders helped provide first aid to the victim. He was taken to a hospital by medics in critical condition. He was later listed as serious but stable.
Officers searching the area found a person matching the suspect’s description in the 5400 block of Baum Boulevard in Bloomfield.
Public safety officials said the suspect resisted arrest and became confrontational, which led to officers deploying their taser.
Medics evaluated the suspect at the scene, and he was then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. Once he is discharged from the hospital, he will be taken to the Allegheny County Jail and charges will be filed.
His identity has not yet been released.
