PITTSBURGH — Hundreds of people across the region reported seeing a light streak across the sky Thursday night
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh said reports of meteors started coming in around 7:33 p.m. and captured footage from a SkyCam pointed downtown.
A meteor is a streak of light in the sky caused by a meteoroid crashing through Earth’s atmosphere, according to the National Geographic Society.
