A massive fire engulfed a former restaurant in Uniontown and spread to an adjacent home.
The blaze erupted at the building on Morgantown Street shortly after 2 a.m., breaking through the roof and sending thick smoke pouring over the edges.
The property formerly housed Sam’s Restaurant and previously operated under the name Eagle’s Nest Bar.
All occupants of the neighboring residence got out safely. The Red Cross stepped in to provide emergency assistance to the displaced residents.
The state fire marshal is now investigating the cause of the fire.
