PITTSBURGH -- A massive pothole in downtown Pittsburgh caused some big problems for drivers Tuesday night.
Just before 8 p.m., Channel 11 found at least seven cars pulled over on Bigelow Boulevard where the road approaches the Sixth Avenue exit.
Each car had flat tires caused by a pothole in the road.
Several of those drivers told Channel 11 that they didn’t see the pothole until it was too late.
“I didn't see it at all. As soon as I hit it, it just went. Then my tires started hissing, so I pulled over,” said Jennifer Myers.
Police have blocked off the area so Public Works crews can make the necessary repairs.
Crews expect to have the pothole fixed before Wednesday's morning commute.
